Privacy policy
Effective October 15, 2026. Detective Deco is operated by Lilly Bit LLC, doing business as Lilly Bit Games.
Information used to run the game
We store your email address, a password hash, account and player identifiers, investigator choices, game progress, collected evidence, accusations and interview transcripts. We use these to sign you in, save your investigation and provide the game. Passwords are not stored as readable text. Your private journal notes stay on your device.
We store purchase identifiers, purchase status and access grants to verify payment, restore access and handle refunds. Apple, Google Play or Stripe process payments; Detective Deco does not receive or store your full payment card details.
AI interviews and your choice
After you explicitly allow AI interviews, your questions, recent interview history and fictional case context are sent to Anthropic to generate character replies. We do not include your account email, password or payment details in those requests. Avoid typing personal or sensitive information into interviews. AI replies may be inaccurate or inappropriate; use “Report reply” beside a witness response to flag it for our review.
You can decline interviews and continue exploring, or withdraw consent from the investigator menu under Account & privacy. Withdrawal stops future interview requests; it does not erase previously saved transcripts. Account deletion erases the transcripts we hold. Anthropic processes requests under its own service terms and retention practices. Read Anthropic’s privacy policy.
Service providers and security
Our hosting providers process account and gameplay data for us. Apple, Google and Stripe process store and payment information, and Anthropic processes interview content. We use encrypted network connections, account access controls and restricted administrative access. Operational logs may include IP addresses, request times, errors and device or browser information needed to secure and maintain the service.
We do not sell personal information, use advertising trackers, or share data for cross-app targeted advertising. The game contains no third-party ads. We do not request your contacts, precise physical location, microphone or photo library.
Retention and deletion
Account and game data remain while your account is active. Use Account & privacy → Delete account in the app, or the account deletion page, to permanently remove your account, investigator, transcripts, reports and progress. We also remove a newsletter signup matching your account email. Limited transaction identifiers and payment status remain without your account link for financial records, refund handling and fraud prevention. Deletion does not refund purchases or transfer paid access to another account.
Local notes are removed on the device where in-app deletion is completed. Clear app data or uninstall on other devices to remove their local notes. Restricted database backups may retain prior records until they are rotated and are used only for disaster recovery. Payment and AI providers may retain their own records under their policies.
Newsletter and age suitability
Signing up for our optional newsletter stores your email and signup consent separately from gameplay. The game features fictional murder investigations and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Contact and changes
Use our support page for privacy questions, access or correction requests, or help with your account. We will update this page when our practices change and seek a new choice in the app when additional data sharing requires permission.
